At Least 20 Dead in Baghdad Blast BAGHDAD, Jan. 18 -- A white pickup truck loaded with 1,000 pounds of plastic explosives and several 155mm artillery shells exploded at the main public gate to the U.S. occupation headquarters Sunday, killing at least 20 bystanders and injuring more than 60 others, U.S. military officials said.

The attack was the deadliest in Iraq since Hussein's capture on Dec. 13. It came on the eve of a planned meeting in New York on Monday between the chief U.S. civilian administrator in Iraq, L.
